This Autel adapter cable connects the 12-pin diagnostic connector of older Mitsubishi and Hyundai passenger cars to the OBD2 main cable of your Autel tool. Autel calls it Mitsubishi/Hyundai-12+16; on the vehicle side it has a 12-pin and a 16-pin connector. On Mitsubishi, the 12-pin connector is located in the footwell on the driver's side, next to the fuse box.
Behind this single connector are several systems, such as engine control, ABS, airbag and automatic transmission. You read the fault codes per system and clear them after the repair. The cable only converts the connector physically. The diagnostic tool itself must support OBD1 diagnostics for Mitsubishi or Hyundai.
