The MultiECUScan adapter cable set is a 6-piece collection of color-coded connectors designed to give a standard OBD2 interface access to specific control units (ECUs) in vehicles. This set is specifically developed for use with diagnostic software such as MultiECUScan and AlfaOBD. Each cable features a unique color and specific internal pin configuration that unlocks systems not accessible through the standard OBD2 pins.

The set is primarily intended for vehicles from the FCA Group (Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Abarth). The adapters create a physical connection between the 16-pin connector of the diagnostic interface and the 16-pin OBD2 port of the vehicle, adapting the pin configuration to match the requirements of the target ECU. This enables comprehensive diagnostics, fault code reading, and service functions on non-engine systems.

Adapter overview

Each cable in the set has a unique color and internal pin configuration for a specific group of modules:

  • Yellow cable (Adapter 3): Connects to the low-speed CAN network for systems such as the body computer, door modules and dashboard.
