\nThe OBDSTAR Key Master 5 is a key programmer for key programming work on passenger vehicles, including motorcycles and electric vehicles. He programs keys and remote controls, key blanks, reads the PIN code, reads the key number and approaches EEPROM memory — and also performs standard OBD II diagnostics with fault codes, adjustments to control modules and reset values.\n
\nWe supply the Full version, and that is precisely the difference: the P001-programmer is included, with the EEPROM adapter, the RFID adapter and the Key Renewal Adapter in a single module. This means you don't need to purchase a separate programmer. The box also contains the C001 and C002 circuit boards, the W001-kabel and four connectors: OBD II-16, Honda-3, Hyundai-10 and Kia-20. The device is a 5-inch Android tablet with a RK3128 quad-core ARM Cortex A7 processor and a 2600 mAh battery.

Applications and functionality
The Key Master 5 centres on immobiliser programming, with diagnostics and memory functions supporting it. Below is what the device can do.
Key programming
- Programming keys: Teaching a new key to the vehicle's immobiliser.
- Programming remote controls:Programme a remote key independently or together with the key.
- Delete keys:Remove lost or stolen keys from the system so they can no longer start the vehicle.
- Read PIN code:Extract the PIN code from the vehicle as a basis for further key programming work.
- Read key number:Check how many keys have been programmed and which ones.
- Reuse keys:Use the Key Renew adapter in the supplied P001 to make a used key functional again.
Memory and diagnostics
- Read and write EEPROM:Read out memory chips, save and write back via the EEPROM adapter in the P001.
- RFID operations:Read and programme transponders via the RFID adapter in the P001.
- Read fault codes:Retrieve stored diagnostic trouble codes from the control modules.
- Adjust control modules:Modify settings in the control modules where the vehicle system permits.
- Reset values:Write reset values after maintenance or component replacement.
- OBD II diagnostics:Standard diagnostics via the OBD port, alongside manufacturer-specific key programming.

The combination of make, model and year of manufacture determines compatibility, not the make alone.OBDSTAR divides Key Master 5 coverage across three separate lists. Each list is organised by continent and in alphabetical order.
